Salmela

Architect David Salmela practices in our hometown of Duluth, Minnesota. We first worked with David when he reinterpreted our manufacturing space we call Hawks Boots in 2004. His residential and commercial projects have won over 50 regional & national architectural design awards and his work has been published internationally in journals such as I.D., Monocle and Architectural Review. David’s refreshing sense of wonder of the natural world, related in pure modern forms, shines through in the pieces he created for Loll. Like his well-designed homes, David’s furniture conveys a spatial simplicity with modest linear planes that create sculptural and functional outdoor furniture unlike any other in the Loll family.
